CSI was established in May 1997 to serve the Caribbean American communities located in New York and New Jersey. CSI’s mission is to educate, inspire, and entertain the Caribbean American communities through educational, sporting and cultural programs that reflect the diversity of the local communities. CSI seeks to provide the Caribbean American community’s youth with access to educational and athletic scholarships to further their education. CSI’s aim is to serve, with particular regard to, the Caribbean community that is all too often overlooked and under-represented by facilitating the exchange of cultural and intellectual ideas. In addition, CSI also seek to assist Caribbean American athletes attending colleges in New York and New Jersey, away from their homeland.
